Keratin Treatments
The take in most hair salons and within girl groups when it comes to hair for the last 3 years has been centered around a process called the keratin treatment. The keratin treatments are designed to eliminate frizz by filling areas in the hair cuticle that are void with keratin protein, Excellent for colored and highlighted hair. The average cost in most states on this type of chemical process is from $150 to $300 dollars depending on the length of the hair, In New York $500 is normal. There are many companies producing a keratin treatment. One word of caution with this product, you must ask your stylist if the keratin treatment that they use contains any formaldehyde. Any keratin treatment with more then 1% of formaldehyde must be applied in a properly ventilated space, and with the use of a face mask is highly recommended. Also leave your kids at home when getting a keratin treatment. Check in your city for salons applying keratin outdoors which is the safes place to perform this service.
